Dharma Sandesha Yatra

Dharma Sandesha Yatra

Dharma Sandesha Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage of hope and transformation led by Kerala’s revered Hindu monks. It aims to rekindle awareness about the erosion of moral and cultural values and to empower society to rebuild a strong moral and economic foundation.

This fourteen-day spiritual journey will cover every district in Kerala, carrying the light of dharma from household to household, inspiring unity, compassion, and responsibility across generations.

In today’s Kerala, the Hindu community faces challenges such as:

Margadarshak Mandal

Margadarshak Mandal

Margadarshak Mandal was founded in March 1981 in Bombay, envisioned as a gathering of revered sannyasis devoted to offering spiritual and philosophical guidance to Hindu society. The Mandal addresses vital concerns related to Hindu darshana (philosophical vision) and the Hindu way of life, offering direction to both individuals and organizations grounded in Sanātana Dharma.

Our mission is to:

  • Offer authentic spiritual counsel to the Hindu community.
  • Preserve and propagate the eternal values of Hindu philosophy.
  • Convene Dharma Sansads—sacred assemblies—to discuss, deliberate, and decide on matters crucial to the future of Hindu society.

The first Dharma Sansad was held in 1982, setting the foundation for an ongoing tradition of annual gatherings that provide clarity and direction on religious, cultural, and national issues.

Our Journey in Kerala

Margadarshak Mandal began its work in Kerala the same year it was founded. The first state president was Pujaniya Swami Sathyananda Saraswati, head of the Sri Ramadassa Mission, who laid the foundation for the Mandal’s activities in the region.

Successive Leaders in Kerala:
• Swami Vedananda Saraswati
• Swami Nityananda Saraswati

Present Leadership:
President: Swami Chidanandapuri, Head of Kolathur Advaitashramam
General Secretary: Swami Satswarupananda Saraswati, Head of Sidhashramam Umbernad, Mavelikkara

Together, they uphold the mission of the Mandal with a focus on unity, tradition, and spiritual strength.
